spring cleaning

week and a day - twelfth of april, 2002

"have another drink my son. enjoy another cigarette cuz its time you realized you're just an average man."~turin brakes

its been forever, i know. i've not forgotten you, dear readers.

spring is springing in our small town. our yard is the same color green as the plastic straws that they stick in your iced tea or frappucino at starbucks. the sun glistens off of the colorwheel colored glass balls floating in copper wire hanging on the porch and the sweet cherry blossom breeze tinkles the copper wind chimes melodiously. the brazen sunsets light our front yard at dusk the strong pink of youth, firey and promising warmer nights to come.

and its a week and a day til easter-four-twenty.

we've planned a bit of a barbeque to celebrate...a chocolate bunny pot brownie sort of affair...i'm reminded how green everything will seem in a week.

but an overview of colder days....saw tori amos a few sundays ago...stunning as usual. saw jump, little children, too. i know its probably not good to say, but i thouroughly enjoyed JLC even better than tori. it was my first time (had the every played this far north?) and i got myself a copy of their playlist and got to meet them. and fanangled a sharpie pen away from the gruff guy in the nick's fat city ticket booth to get the boys to sign my playlist. *swoon* i am in love. i wish they wold have sang opium or quiet, though.

what else?

the kittens have homes. two sets of two got to stay together as forever playmates, too, happily, and none of them went to indecisive women with dirty whiny children. they will all live posh little kitten lives. my allergies and aching lungs thank the new owners, as does my doctor.

i got my new bike yesterday. she is sky blue with white and pink flames and whitewall tires and seven gears and i intend to spend many a summer afternoon pedeling about.

also, too, the search for the perfect diamond ring has begun.

it is spring and serendipity is a girl very much in love with all that surrounds her....the tinking musical spring weather, the lovely kind people, and the floating feeling that comes with the first good day of thaw.

xoxo, cats.
