introspective periscope : peeking inside since Y2K ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- monday mushrooms tonight we smoke them out. - 7 july 2009 "no dress rehearsal. this is our life." ~tragically hip had a handful of mushrooms left over from the festival last weekend. tom & i cleaned the house and then i ate the remainders. needed cigarettes, subsequent counting out of change. this is what its come to? yes. tom may be the best roommate or sitter or friend or whatever of all time...he took my counted out change into the sheetz for me...ah, my aversion to bright lights. driving home, the mushrooms kicked in...and we decided to take a loop on the bypass...which turned into our traversing the indiana countryside. he took me to his spot...a spot where he's done everything. i feel honoured, truly. and now we're back and i'm in my orange room and toby's head is on my wall, a face painted so many years ago that i hardly remember being the girl that accompanied the timestamp.... a more perfect monday night i could not ask for...this thing with tom, though, as nick suggests....must stop. its too compelling. there are other things that need thinking... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- .what came before. - .what happened next. a diamond at the bottom of the drain - 20 october 2017 |
